    Software Engineer

    I work on the Apple Pay, Energy Services team. 💡

    I collaborated with other developers and cross-functional teams to deliver Clean Energy Charging and Grid Forecast to millions of iPhones and Apple watches to help users reduce carbon emissions.

    In this role, I am actively implementing Python scripts to automate the process of ingesting and analyzing over 2 years of partner data and am regularly presenting evaluation results to leadership and cross-functional working groups to influence decisions for feature releases. I am also developing a Slack web application deployed on an internal automation platform to send daily updates on the quality of our input data.

    I have implemented backfilling capability for time series ingestion pipelines of 4 input signals through a command line application in Kotlin, refactored over 50% of our ingestion pipeline codebase from Java to Kotlin, and built observability dashboards to monitor traffic, error rate, latency, and saturation of our API endpoints.

    I worked on a Big Data Team within Treasury and Trade Solutions. 💰 I built and ran a data probe using Python Selenium to enable alerting and monitoring capabilities in our internal instance of Tableau, built and load tested 25% of the Tableau dashboards within our testing environment prior to our production launch, and redesigned the frontend for 16 of the pages within our internal document sharing system.

    I was a TA for CSE220: Systems Fundamentals I. 🤖 I hosted 4 hours of office hours every week to reach over 100 students, coordinated and executed review sessions with 7 other TAs, and helped review biweekly homework assignments. I also actively monitored our Piazza discussion board to answer questions posted by students.

Projects


I worked with 3 college students to build a full-stack web application allowing users to build congressional redistricting plans with equal population in the United States. 🗺 I built the interactive frontend map component using React and Mapbox API, allowing users to view current districting geospatial plans for Arizona, Michigan, and Virginia. I also developed scripts in Python and Slurm to deploy on the Seawulf HPC to clean precinct-level data for the states and run them through the MGGG MCMC Markov algorithm to automate the generation of 30,000 random redistricting plans. 🧼 I then automated the process of choosing the 90 best plans based on numerical measures.

I worked with a team of 20+ college students to build a full-stack dating web app that aims to help people form genuine connections by writing old school love letters. Our application garnered over 200+ signups with one day of advertising in advance of our second cohort. I collaborated with 3 other developers to launch our new web application ahead of the beta launch. We met with 3 UX designers to transform their prototypes to code.

I built a full-stack web application with 3 college students for Rewriting the Code to automate the process by which membership data was accessed, analyzed, and visualized. 👩🏻‍🎨 I built 5 data visualization models using Tableau, wrote a data cleaning script to make them 78% more accurate, and connected the models to the data source so they live updated. I also worked on the frontend styling of the application and created a vertical timeline UI component. We presented our project to leadership from Two Sigma, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, and SAS and placed 3rd against 20 project teams.

I worked with a team of 3 college students to create a full-flow, medium-fidelity prototype of a web application to make remote learning more accessible for Autistic middle schoolers. I researched the shortcomings of existing remote learning technology and how they affected those with disabilities. I also researched color palettes and design elements more suitable for those with Autism. I brought my findings together to prototype the Dashboard view of the application.
